On June 6th 2021 Caledon East United Church declared and announced its start to becoming an Affirming Church. This means doing intentional work to learn, tell stories, educate and create spaces that are affirming and publicly welcoming to Two Spirit, LGBTQIA+ folk.  

As a faith community we are committed to sharing God's love and grace and to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus  Christ to all people.  

This means continuing that work through our daily life and ministries forever more.

This also means we are becoming even more mindful of the language we use, the way we speak about God and how we pray.

To mark the beginning of this we celebrated in worship, song and prayer.  We are taking steps to find ways to embrace all God's children by way of learning, storytelling, policy and action. Do you want to join in and be part of the affirming team? Let us know!
